This is Saturn, one of three cheetah cubs at Moholoholo Rehab Centre. Yes, he is wearing a collar. We needed to tell them apart. :P

They remember once upon a time when they were once revered as gods. They still recognise praise from their worshipers when they see it.

When I first started working with cougars I had to use their collars to tell the brothers apart. Now I can identify the difference from the shade of their coat and their slightly different builds. Still, collars are handy in a pinch. ^.^

Yeah, they got easier to tell apart as they got a bit older. But when they're all running around it's still quite difficult at times!
I think it was mostly so that we could all tell them apart quickly, for example when we were talking to the public.
