This is one of several pearl spotted owls at Moholoholo Rehab Centre. These guys are very small - fully grown they stand probably ~10cm tall. They're very cute.
I fed and cleaned up after four of these little birds, and I liked them. They weren't too messy, and they weren't unfriendly. They flew away if you came too close, but they weren't scared, which was nice. They did have a habit of hiding the remains of their chicks after every meal, which was a bit of a pain! There's nothing like having to hunt for headless chicks first thing in the morning.
